Again its far too common to hear student say the cant draw circles. But what approaches have they tried and how long did they spend practicing?

 

Sketched as a series of overlapping attempts you will get things wrong, that's part of learning. Even the widest oval has the potential to be fine tuned towards a more realistic circle. Its sketching after all, we are not looking for perfection.
